월드쉐어, 세계 물의 날 맞아 ‘생명을 살리는 물’ 캠페인

월드쉐어가 3월 22일, 세계 물의 날을 맞아 ‘생명을 살리는 물-우물후원’ 캠페인을 진행한다.
깨끗한 물 한 모금이 없어 고통받는 아이들과 쓰레기와 가축의 배설물로 오염된 물을 마시는 아이들의 이야기를 통해 물 부족 현황을 알아보고 직접 후원에 참여할 수 있다. 캠페인은 월드쉐어 사이트(www.worldshare.or.kr)를 통해 진행된다.
Worldshare Conducts 'Water Saves Lives' Campaign for World Water Day
International Relief Agency (NGO) Worldshare is conducting 'Water Saves Lives - Sponsoring Wells' campaign on March 22nd for World Water Day. Every 20 seconds, a person, every year, 18 million people lose their lives due to problems concerning drinking water. Hence, Worldshare has been supplying drinking water to underdeveloped nations since March 18th through 'Water Saves Lives' campaign.
Through the children's' stories of suffering due to the lack of purified drinking water and of how they drink water polluted with livestock excretion as well as trash, people can learn about the present condition - the scarcity of water - and participate in the campaign. The campaign can be reached through Worldshare's website (www.worldshare.or.kr).
The donations are planning to be used to provide wells to areas in Southeast Asia and Africa that are in desperate need of water.
